Mr. Quinby's going to college, Mrs. Quinby's going to work. Now that Ramona is eight, she can go to a new school with a new teacher and ride the bus all by herself. But after school she has to stay with Grandmother Kemp and be nice to that bratty little Willa Jean until Beezus--who's tempermental enough to ruin anyone's day--comes to take her home. Life isn't as easy for Ramona as it used to be. All the Quimbys have to adjust, and Ramona gets her chance to prove that she's "big enough for her family to depend on."

A nice sticking together family

Ramona switches schools, gets a new teacher, deals with yard ape, her family is financially strapped and she has to deal with Howie's little sister, getting egg in her hair and throwing up at school. But all ends with a rather happy ending.

Ramona Quimby saves our daughter from video!

My daughter's class was assigned a chapter book report that required specifics and I bought this book (upon the teacher's approval). I of course, had a huge part in finding it because of the requirements. Had it been up to my daughter, she would be reading a My Little Pony book (not approved).
My daughter (8 years old and in the third grade) LOVES LOVES LOVES this book, and can't wait to pick it up again. I am so glad to see her excited to find out what happens to Ramona next. And she's reading. She's not skipping pages and moaning and groaning about "having" to read!!!
Like most kids her age, she would rather be doing some video-based activity. How refreshing to see her wanting to read.

love Ramona books

As a child read all the Ramona Quimby books. No my child is of that age and I started her collection with this one. We are reading it together and it brings me back so many memories. It is a classic in my life and I will be enjoying them again with my daughter. Such a great writer. It will not disappoint the little girl in your life. Great books!
